Description: This is the view from my studio window in January. The "finger tree" stands out in the hedgerow looking a bit like a giant fingerless glove. It looks solid against the twiggy and brambly hedgerow. Ivy clads its trunk and lower branches giving it an evergreen covering threatening to strangle it out of existence. The "Finger Tree" strains against the stock fence and casts its shadows in the field next door. The disused Tiverton-Taunton canal lies beyond the distant trees and further into the distance the low hills rise to Ashbrittle
