A watergram is a cameraless photographic technique which captures light and moving water on silver gelatin. A cymatic watergram is when the movement of the water is created by exposing it to different sound frequencies. In this case, the water was vibrated at a frequency of 40Hz, creating a literal impression of the sound in the ripples; aural imagery.
