The recent Leaf Creature series of ceramic works draws inspiration from DorsetÕs rich folklore, particularly the oak and holly kings of the solstices. Each piece reflects the emotional shifts of the local landscape through the changing seasons, blending nature with myth. By incorporating elements from DorsetÕs flora, I capture the essence of its habitats, often infused with humour, to evoke a deeper connection between the viewer and the environment. This work celebrates the cycles of nature, encouraging reflection on our relationship with DorsetÕs diverse and evolving ecology.
