Focus on a small area of a photograph, to begin an adventure into the abstract.

You will need;
Essential; a sketchbook or scrap paper, a suitable surface from A4 to A3 size, either a canvas, or canvas board, a page from an acrylic pad,(Paper or Canvas), heavy watercolour paper, or heavy cartridge paper.
Acrylic paints, a mixing palette, water pot, acrylic brushes.pencil or charcoal.

A choice of photographic references, (which you have already zoomed in on until your image is no longer identifiable ) and printed, or a device on which you can do same, or cuttings from a magazine . Choose colours, pattern, shapes, textures, which you enjoy- the subject matter is irrelevant.
