Inspired Landscapes - Extend your horizons with design, collage and stitch

With a chosen landscape we will look at some simple colour, design and composition exercises, as we isolate areas as reference.

With painted, textured paper and fabric scraps we will create a series of mixed media collages based on these landscape designs. Writing or map references could also be added.
Free machine techniques with wools will be demonstrated and several examples will be finished later with additional machine or hand stitch.

You will need to bring on the day:
• apron, some drawing materials to include black pens
• landscape photos. These could be anywhere in nature, beach, mountains, fields, showing a horizon (Preferably not cityscapes with buildings).
• Also bring a photo showing closer details of the same area. (For example, an ocean view with rockpools, shells, shoreline detail, landscape with plants, and rock images for example).
• 2 x A4 black and white contrast images of each photos + 1 x A4 colour photo of distant view + 1 x A4 close-up detail.
I will have a selection of prepared and printed papers as well to share.

Sandra will provide you with the materials kit for what you need on the day. This will be £4 and we ask that you pay Sandra directly on the day with cash. Thanks.
